How do I add funds to my account?

  • Updated

Parents can transfer funds into their Copper wallet in a few different ways:

1️⃣ Parents can transfer funds into their Copper wallet by linking a bank account or debit card to their Copper account.

  • Transfers from a linked bank account are free and typically take 3-5 business days to settle.
  • Transfers from a linked debit card are instant, but there is a small fee associated with these instant transfers. This fee covers the additional costs associated with instant transfers.

2️⃣ Teens can connect their Copper account to an existing provider (such as Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal) using their Copper card number or their account/routing number.

3️⃣ Parents and teens both have the option to set up direct deposit to receive their paychecks (or $10, $20, etc per paycheck) directly to their accounts.

  • Teen's name on Copper account needs to exactly match their employer payroll name, so if they have a nickname set up right now, have them update it to match so that their deposit isn't declined and sent back due to account name mismatch.
