How do I (parent) link to a debit card to transfer money?

To fund the youth debit card, parents/relatives can link an external account's debit card to the Copper account right from their Copper app!

*️⃣ At this time, we are only able to link traditional debit cards for external bank accounts. This means prepaid cards, gift cards, and credit cards will not work.

*️⃣ This means we are not able to accept prepaid debit cards, gift cards, or credit cards.

*️⃣ The maximum funding sources we can connect to your Copper account is one debit card and up to two linked bank accounts.

1️⃣ To do this, visit the "More" section located on the bottom right of your screen and select the "Linked Accounts" option in the top card.

2️⃣ Tap the purple '+' icon at the top right corner of the screen and the option to link a bank account or debit card will be displayed there!

✳️ Transferring funds from a linked debit card is instant!

But it does have a small fee associated with it to cover the cost of instant funding.

The fee is 2.5% + $0.30 per transfer.

If you prefer not to pay a fee for instant funds transfer, you have a couple of other account funding options.

You can:

1️⃣ Link a bank account and do bank to bank transfers, which usually takes 3-5 business days.

2️⃣ Set up direct deposit, funds will settle on your payday.

3️⃣ Transfer from a third-party provider, such as CashApp, PayPal, or Venmo.
